Every job management tool we looked at before building JobMate assumed the same thing: someone sitting at a desk, two hands on a keyboard, a big screen to work with. That's not the reality for a solo tradesperson. The reality is a phone, a job site, gloves half on, and maybe thirty seconds between tasks.
So we designed JobMate mobile-first from the first screen. Quoting a job, checking the day's schedule, marking a job complete, sending an invoice — every one of these has to work one-handed, in bright sunlight, with a spotty signal. If a workflow didn't survive that test, we redesigned it until it did.
The result is software that disappears into the day instead of adding another screen to manage. That's the whole bet behind JobMate: meet the tradesperson where the work actually happens.
